Metalworks since 1980

We are a company specialized in hot forging and machining brass components and non-ferrous alloys for industrial applications. Our aim is to offer the most effective solution for any specific need. This is why we personally take care of all stages of production, from tooling to scheduling machine cycles, right through to the finished product. Continuous monitoring and rigid controls carried out using 3D measuring machines guarantee the highest possible standard of quality for each individual part we produce.

One of the advantages provided to customers is the industrialization of the products entrusted to us by efficient technical solutions and with the goal of remaining faithful to the initial design.

In addition to that we provide high production capacity thanks to eight ISO 40 transfer machining centers capable of producing six million parts per year of varying complexity and weighing from 20 g to 6 kg. Production is based on customer specifications, supported by our technical department.

Our approach to the projects is to assist the customer in the design of the hot forged and subsequently machined parts, as well as in the design of the machining tools. Special attention is given to the analysis of the possible weight reduction of the parts in order to reduce material consumption.

We are part of the Brescia Brass District and certified throughout the whole supply chain.

Quality

Quality and flexibility are the fundamental principles that have always guided our work. We believe that innovation is an opportunity not to be lost. It means investing in the future, employing the most advanced technology in both production and control to give our valued customers a competitive advantage. The engineering department is the very heart of our business, where we work in close contact with our customers and suppliers. This is where we conceive and develop that strong sense of collaboration that drives us to reach a common objective. Following this model we have grown from being a small artisan workshop to being a well-established and highly-specialized company for the supply of intermediate goods for industries across Europe

Thanks to strict dimensional controls, you do not have to spend extra time checking our goods: quality control of machined parts takes place at short intervals in our test Laboratory. All dimensional checks are performed by means of 3D measuring devices, vision system or roughness tester.

The checks take place at every stage of the production process.

The scrap rate is only 57 ppm and continues to decrease steadily, thanks to our policy of continuous improvement.

GAROM chose Total Quality Management as its organizational model. This led to certification of its Quality Management System according to the international standard UNI EN ISO 9001 by 'Det Norske Veritas' in 2007. Certification according to Technical Specification ISO TS in 2012 followed, converted in 2018 to IATF 16949.

Production

The machine park includes eight ISO 40 transfer machining centers with horizontal or vertical axes. A new transfer machining center will soon be put into operation, with 24 units - 12 of which are CNC - and swiveling fixtures to perform even more complex machining; this will avoid additional machining process of the workpieces.

We machine all types of brass alloys (e.g. CW617N and CW724R) as well as gunmetal.

Our robotic machining units operate in FMS mode (Flexible Manufacturing System) and each is equipped with washing system and chip centrifuge.

GAROM is known for the high quality and aesthetics of its products.

The packaging of the parts is also automated.

Finally, we perform all kinds of surface treatments requested by customers.

for self-consumption.
Garom S.r.l. obtains the requested
incentive for Line 2
The system is able to produce about 384,000 kWh/year of electricity,
covering more than 42% of the company’s energy needs and reducing its
dependence on non-renewable sources, a principle in line with green and
environmental protection concerns.
The project is worth a total of € 257,000.00 and has qualified for a subsidy of
